Residents were safely evacuated from a home in Beaumont, California on Saturday morning after a pickup truck careered off the road and slammed into the property.

The driver was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

A large portion of the house was destroyed in the crash and the kitchen and living room areas were left exposed.

Cal Fire responded to a vehicle vs a structure. Arriving crews located a pickup truck that crashed into a house after taking down a fence. A vehicle parked on the property where the pickup crashed also was damaged in the collision. A large portion of the house was destroyed in the crash, exposing the kitchen and living room areas.
