Cal Fire responded to reports of a rollover traffic collision into a pole and reports of another vehicle that crashed into a fence. Arriving crews located a red pickup truck overturned into a light pole with multiple parties on board. One victim was trapped underneath the truck. The other vehicle involved, a grey sedan, was located crashed into a fence on the right hand side of the freeway with major front end damage. The power pole the pickup crashed into was sheared. fell on the truck and was still energized. Firefighters safely managed to remove the trapped victim from the wreckage and he was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. The driver of the sedan was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence. According to the wife of the suspect, the man was already on probation for a prior DUI. CHP is still on scene investigating and the I-10 near the crash will be slowed to traffic pending clearing of the roadway and conclusion of the investigation.
