LACoFD responded to reports of a gunshot wound victim. Arriving units located a male victim shot an unknown number of times. The victim was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition. The cause of the shooting is unknown at this time and officers were questioning a group of people at a nearby residence. The area surrounding the residence including the alley at the rear was cordoned off as a crime scene. It's unknown if the shooting took place on the residential property, in the alleyway or on the street. Officers were taking pictures of a box of beer left near some bushes where the victim was transported by medical and also concentrating their investigation in that location and at the rear of the residence. The type and caliber of weapon used is unknown at this time. It's unknown if any suspects have been identified by officers or if the weapon used was located.
