Amidst the lockdown, a baby leopard was found roaming the streets in the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand.

This incident occurred on April 30 in Chamoli district's Gwaldam area, a hill station.

Upon spotting the cub, the residents panicked and immediately informed the local authorities as well as the forest department.

The authorities rushed to the scene and eventually captured the leopard in a cage.

The forest officials soon after released the cub in its natural habitat.

Many animals both wild and domestic have been seen approaching the cities due to lack of human presence due to a government-imposed lockdown.

The curfew, which came into effect on March 23, was imposed in order to stall the spread of the pandemic novel coronavirus.
