A leopard was rescued after it entered a house in northern India's Haryana.

This incident happened in Narsinghpur, Gurugram on January 3.

Visuals showed the leopard appearing out of space for a while before spotting the net and fleeing from the area. Officials were seen standing outside of the room where the leopard was and preparing to catch it with a net.

Subsequently, the forest department was informed and they arrived at the spot to capture the animal. The Gurugram police also arrived to assist in the operation.

As per the report, the wild animal was eventually captured after it was tranquilised by wildlife inspector Rajesh Chahal. It was seen inside a cage where it laid down and occasionally looked out. After a medical checkup, the leopard was seen being released into its natural habitat in the Aravalli hills on the same day.

It was also learnt that the same leopard was being monitored by the forest department after it was spotted on private land. It had entered the village early morning and the people informed the forest department about the same at around 8:30 am IST (Indian Standard Time).

The forest department captured the animal at around 1:00 pm. Another report states that the leopard injured a 13-year-old boy with the animal leaving gashes on his shoulder. He was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
