This is the shocking moment a drunk motorcycle rider allegedly high on meth sped through the emergency room of a hospital in Thailand.

CCTV footage shows the reckless rider smashing through the entrance and whizzing by shocked patients before frantic nurses rushed to him in Yala province’s Betong Hospital on January 21.

The rider, identified as Soontorn Saesen, 40, was checked by medics for injuries but he was unscathed from the incident.

The hospital’s glass door was smashed with several broken pieces lying on the floor while his Suzuki bike was left inside so officers could investigate the scene.

Officers arrived to apprehend the man, who appeared to be drunk, and took him to the station for questioning.

However, upon further interviewing the rider, he confessed to have taken illegal drugs before the incident.

Police Lieutenant Suranan Chobngam said: ‘He said he was having hallucinations and didn’t know what he was doing.

‘He drove his motorbike around the neighbourhood until he entered the hospital and caused the incident.’

They conducted a urine test to verify if he was under the influence of illegal drugs and tested positive to methamphetamine.

Speaking at the station, Sootorn said he was ‘hearing voices in his head’ that he would die so he tried hiding at the hospital.

He said: ‘I took too many drugs and began hearing voices in my head saying that I would die. My heart was beating too fast so I decided to go to a hospital or a temple to hide.’

Sootorn will be detained at the hospital before he will be charged with illegal drug use while driving and damage to property.
