Heavy rain caused by a low-pressure area triggered the erosion in Biliran province on March 11.
Teacher Veolita Sabornido said they were on their way home from school when they saw the damaged roads.
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the low pressure area had moved around 250 kilometres east southeast of General Santos City.
