Man robs clothing store to acquire expensive gift for wife in central India
In a bid to give an expensive gift to his wife, an armed man robbed a store in cold blood in central India's Madhya Pradesh on July 1. The incident took place in the Ujjain district.
CCTV footage features the miscreant barging into the clothing store during the night with an intention of robbing it. He further threatens the shop owner by sticking a knife against him or suffer the dire consequences, ensuing fear among the people present inside the store. He then grabs that one magnificent attire he desires and departs from the area while the panic-stricken individuals remain bound. After a few days, the cops apprehend the robber and bring him down to the police station for further investigation.
The accused, identified as Vicky, was fond of a red traditional attire called saree draped on a mannequin of Fashion Point store. He then hatched a wicked plan to acquire the saree as he did not have enough money to buy it for his wife. He then stormed the store and stole the red saree worth Rs. 3000 (USD 40) from the owner, Naresh Parihar, by threatening him with a knife.
Enraged by this act, Naresh lodged a complaint against the goon, following which the cops swung into action and formed a team. They further caught Vicky within 16 hours of the burglary and sought justice for the victim. Besides, it was revealed that the accused had 16 cases registered against him in different police stations while an investigation against him under the National Security Act is underway.
