Three adults, one child critically injured in house fire that also hurts sheriff deputies

Three adults and one infant were critically injured in a house fire in Moreno Valley, California late on Saturday night (8 August).

Two sheriff deputies were also, less severely, injured in the incident.

At 1:30am local time, Cal Fire Riverside County responded to reports of a residential fire with entrapment in the 24300 block of Dolan Dr. in the city of Moreno Valley.

Arriving crews located a single story home with smoke coming from the interior.

Riverside County Sheriff Deputies were on the front lawn with at least three critically injured victims.

An infant was reported trapped inside the residence and was located and transported by medical in critical condition.

Five AMR units were requested at the scene along with Mercy Air medical helicopter for the critical patients.

One AMR unit was requested for two RSO deputies that suffered smoke inhalation injuries during the incident.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and under investigation.
