Firefighters, police officers and kind-hearted residents teamed up to rescue a toddler hanging from a second-floor window in southern China.

Video filmed in the city of Mianyang in Sichuan province on September 23 shows a 2-year-old boy hanging from a second-floor window as his head got stuck in the security bars.

A man was seen climbing onto the building's outer wall to lift the boy up from his bottom while firefighters and police officers tried to cut the security bars to open.

After around six minutes, the boy was rescued successfully and he was not injured.

According to reports, the boy was left at home alone. After he woke up, he climbed onto the window to try to find his parents and accidentally fell off the window ledge.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
