Tortoise that walked into human habitation was rescued and left in the nearby water body in South India
Location Perungalthur area of Chengalpat district in Tamilnadu state in South India.
A tortoise walked into human habitation in search of food and in order to escape from stray dogs.
Dhanabal an animal activist saw the tortoise when he went a walk with his family. He immediately swung into action.
Without any fear or gloves he tried to catch the tortoise. But it slipped from his hand in order to escape from him.
Then he caught it and the tortoise retracted its head and its limbs inside it's shell.
Then the rescuer took the tortoise to the nearby water body and left it near the bushes.
The tortoise checked for the environment and it slowly peeped its head and limbs out. As soon as it felt safe it immediately crawled as soon as possible in the nearby bushes. Tortoise are not slow always.
