Two wedding guests casually eat dinner while fire rages behind them in India
This is the hilarious moment two wedding guests casually carried on with their dinner even as a massive fire raged behind them in India.
The hungry men were recorded feasting on their plates of chicken curry and biryani rice, seemingly unfazed by the blaze ripping through the wedding venue in the city of Bhiwandi, Maharashtra state, on November 28.
They occasionally turned to look back at other panicked guests amid the chaos, but went back to enjoying the food unbothered.
Footage shows how there were also bottles of water and tandoori chicken on the table helping to keep the men occupied while the potentially lethal inferno spread.
Onlooker Zeeshan Shaikh said: ‘This video was shot in Bhiwandi, Thane, outskirts of Mumbai on 28th November at around 9 PM.
‘The food was really good. Perhaps that’s why they were so into it and not concerned with the fire.
'Food lovers don't care for their background. Especially when the famous Mutton Korma and Naan of Bhiwandi is kept in front of you.
'Thankfully nobody was hurt.
Three fire trucks arrived to extinguish the fire, which was put out around midnight.
Firefighters said there were no injuries or casualties as the guests escaped from the wedding hall before the fire could spread. However, at least eight motorcycles were reportedly burnt.
The exact cause of the incident is still under investigation, but it is believed to have started while food for the reception was being prepared.
