Dramatic moment when officers rescue fainted workers from hunger at the top of the tower
The evacuation of an unconscious worker at the top of a telecommunications tower in Indonesia is dramatic.
Footage filmed in Bantul, Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) on Thursday, November 9, shows joint officers climbing a tower about 40 meters or 131 ft high to reach a fainted worker at the top.
Rescuer from Search and Rescue (SAR DIY) Bondan, said the worker named Lulu Berkalio Pratama (34) was saved by the seat belt he was wearing.
“The victim climbed to the top of the tower alone. He passed out with his body hanging from his seat belt. His friends called officers to help with the rescue,” Bondan said.
Victim was successfully evacuated in a dramatic process that took an hour and then taken to the hospital.
From the results of the medical examination, the victim experienced body cramps because he had not had breakfast.
"The victim survived and wasn't injured," Bondan added.
