Firefighters saved an operator who fainted in a 131-foot-tall (40 metres) tower crane as he suffered sunstroke in eastern China.

Video filmed in the city of Jining in Shandong Province on August 7 shows two firemen carrying rescue equipment and supplies up the crane towards the worker.

Firefighters were seen using cold bottles of water to help the operator cool down fast.

After around 20 minutes, the operator was getting better and the rescuers used a bucket to transport him back to the ground.

After around two hours, the operator landed on the ground safely. He was then carried onto an ambulance to be sent to a hospital for treatment.

The operator has reportedly recovered already.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
