Hundreds of masses of the Indonesian Muslim Community Forum (FUMI) held a peaceful protest on Jalan Kuda Arjuna Wiwaha, Central Jakarta, Monday (10/1/2022). FUMI demands the use of halal vaccines.

FUMI conveyed its demands to the government, the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), and the Indonesian House of Representatives to stop and prohibit the provision of vaccines that are not clearly halal to Muslims.

Head of the Operations Section (Kabaop) of the Central Jakarta Metro Police AKBP Saufi Salamun said that there was a report on the action and a permit was obtained.

"The number of security personnel that we have deployed is 150 people and the crowd who staged the action was around 300 people," said Saufi Salamun when met at the location.

In addition to the event, the Central Jakarta Metro Police distributed a number of masks to the masses who did not follow the health protocols.

"We saw that there were masses who did not carry out the action but did not wear masks, then our ranks distributed masks," he concluded.
