This is the moment a family of snakes were caught after they sheltered inside a bathroom in Thailand.

Julanon Thanoosorn, 32, called a local snake wrangler after the reptiles reappeared inside his bathroom in Chacheongsao province on February 6.

The specialists had previously tried to get rid of the intruders two days earlier, but only found a baby snake inside. With the rest of the serpents still missing, Julanon and his family were gripped with fear every time they used the bathroom.

Snake expert Samart Noipan arrived at Julanon's home again after receiving his call, but the snakes had gone missing once more. Desperate, the family gave permission to partially demolish the bathroom's concrete wall, but the trespassers were still nowhere in sight.

They were finally smoked out of their hiding spot when Julanon sprayed mosquito repellent between the gaps of the house's steel beams. The intoxicated snakes fell one by one, allowing the team to capture them. A total of four snakes were retrieved, while one baby snake is suspected to have escaped into the nearby forest.

Samart said: 'These are Golden Tree Snakes with a mild level of poison. They eat small animals and bugs. They were out as a family because it's their breeding season. They were probably drawn to the bathroom wall because it's cool during the daytime heat.'

The snakes were later released into the wild.
