This is the moment motorcycle riders struggled to pass through a flooded road following heavy rain in Malaysia.

A road under a skyway had been submerged under a knee-deep deluge after storms in Sungai Buloh on February 25. Most scooter users had to use the road as they were not allowed to use the route connected to the skyway.

Footage shows riders trying to power through the water, fighting to keep their balance while passing through the inundated road. One of the riders even fell into the water with his scooter.

Onlooker Aqlul Hakimi Saiful Aula said: 'I hope something would be done to fix these roads. It's not safe for our brothers and sisters to use them everytime there's bad weather.'

Malaysia and parts of southern Thailand close to the border suffered heavy rain and floods last week. In Malaysia, more than 12,000 residents were displaced as continuous rain swamped towns on the peninsula's east coast.
