Suspect Shot by Civilian During Burglary of a Motor Vehicle
During a media briefing, Cmdr. Becker with the Houston Police Department stated at approximately 1:30 a.m., on March 20, 2022, Westside Division Officers with the Houston Police Department responded to a call of a shooting in the 2700 block of Elmside.
Officers found one male with a gunshot wound. Preliminary investigation indicated that the male was a suspect in the burglary of a motor vehicle. A confrontation ensued and and the person who did the shooting is said to be cooperating with police. The suspects wounds are non life threatening. The matter will be referred to the Harris County District Attorney to consider charges.
