A spotted deer crosses a city street in Indonesia ahead of the arrival of the country's vice president.

Footage filmed in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra, Indonesia on Tuesday (April 12), shows deer crossing the road. At that time the road was empty of traffic flow as it closed before the arrival of the vice president to this city.

Then that deer is seen passing in front of the Bukittinggi Regional People's Representative Council office, making onlookers wait for the vice president to pass by cheering him on.

The deer raced with a vehicle crossing the lane, then hit the motorcyclist and fell.

The deer then ran towards the city center and was finally caught by the presidential security forces while in front of Bung Hatta's palace, where the vice president's activities were concentrated.

The information said the deer came from a closeby garden near the Indonesian National Armed Forces office which was suspected to have escaped.

The local Bukittinggi zoo said all their deer were still there.
