A jeweller in southwestern China was flooded after a roadside water pipe burst.

CCTV footage filmed in Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province on June 6 shows water rising from a patch of greenery outside the shop.

The people in the shop can be seen trying to close the door to block the water but it did not help. So they then used a broom to attempt to sweep the water out of their shop.

The shop owner Ms Li said to Yunnan TV that the loss was around 20,000 yuan (£2,400) and the compensation is still being negotiated.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
