A crazed German driver careered through the road, hitting 10 cars in Thailand.

Carl Heinz Gunther Meuer, 54, slammed into 10 cars parked on the roadside in Pattaya on June 9 before speeding away. The hit-and-run alleged victims tried to stop him to no avail as he quickly left the scene.

Pursuing officers finally arrested Carl in the city's Bang Lamung district some 10 miles from the scene of the incident. His black sedan bore scratches and had a loose wheel from his attempted escape.

One of the car owners involved, Boonchan Nuchruangsri, 54, said he called the police when Carl refused to stop despite smashing into his vehicle. He said he decided to tail the foreign national while waiting for authorities to respond.

He added that his car did not suffer much damage, but he has filed a claim for damages.

Police said they have coordinated with other alleged victims asking them to also lodge their complaints with the Nongprue Police Station.

The German national underwent an alcohol test and is awaiting further legal procedures.
