A group of Indian Army soldiers used a cable car raft to transport an injured civilian over a large river in Jammu and Kashmir.

A 24-year-old man named Ankit Jumar suffered an injury to his leg while working on a hand tractor.

A group of soldiers used the raft system to carry him over the wide Chenab river so he could be taken to a hospital in Kishtwar district.

This rescue was recorded on July 2.

The Indian Army evacuated a man, who suffered serious lower limb injuries, and rushed him to a hospital in northern India's Jammu and Kashmir.

Visuals showed three army personnel using a cable car raft. A cot was placed on top of which the injured man was laid. While two Army men pulled the raft by taking help of the rope, another soldier ensured the injured man's safety.

According to reports, 24-year-old Ankit Kumar, suffered grave leg injuries while working with a hand tractor.

He was evacuated to a hospital in Kishtwar district.

Kumar is a resident of Kundal village. The accident took place while Kumar was working in his fields with a hand tractor across the Chenab river.

The Army unit rushed to his help after noticing the man in peril.

He was administered first aid and then carried back to the other side of the river.
