A stray cat keeps bringing insects to a woman who saved the feline a year ago in southern China.

Video filmed in the city of Qingyuan in Guangdong Province on September 28 shows dead butterflies and a dragonfly placed on the floor next to a cat.

A woman named Ge was heard asking the cat: "Did you bring the butterflies to me? Did you give them to me as gifts?"

According to Ge, she adopted the stray cat a year ago.

The cat was sick and pregnant when Ge met her for the first time. Ge then cured and helped her give birth to four kittens.

The cat has since always brought dead insects back to Ge and placed them outside her door for around half a year.

Ge thought it was the cat's unique way of thanking her.
