This is the moment three brave aunties caught a large python using bare hands when it raided their home at night.

The serpent slithered inside the family's living room while they were sleeping in Bangkok, Thailand on October 3 around 3 am.

One of the residents Pimrumpa Boom woke up when she heard knocking sounds inside the wooden closet and checked what it was.

Pimrumpa thought it was a large rat but found the snake instead before shouting at her sleeping sisters for help.

Footage shows the aunties holding the creature and placing it inside a sack together.

Pimrumpa said: 'It happened at three in the morning. I was sleepy but I had to get rid of the snake.

‘It took us hardly ten minutes. I'm glad I found it before it could hurt anyone at home.'

She and her siblings dragged the snake out of the bedroom and locked it in a grip.

Her older sisters held the creature's neck and body while she secured it by the tail.

The snake did not resist the women and was out of the house in no time. A local animal rescuer picked it up in the morning for release.
