Kind office workers helped rescue an abandoned kitten trapped under the drain of a building in Thailand.

Pritsana Chansongklod was on her lunch break when she and colleagues heard a strange noise in front of their workplace in Bangkok on December 14.

They searched for the sound and it led them to the hollow space where the tiny feline appeared scared and lost.

Footage shows the weary kitten as Pritsana's colleague used a pipe with noose at the end to secure the creature.

She said: ‘We couldn't just leave the poor animal there. Someone told us it would eventually come out of the hole but we didn't want to risk it.

‘What if it suddenly rained and the water trapped him further? I am so relieved the cat was safe now.'

The officer worker's friend adopted the kitten after it was fed and taken home.'
