The Padang-Bukittinggi transportation route, West Sumatra was closed by a landslide Tuesday (21/2/2023) afternoon. The landslide occurred in the Silaiang area, before entering Padang Panjang City,

The landslide that occurred at around 14.30 WIB, until now has still not been able to be overcome. Currently the weather is still raining heavily, causing landslide material to descend.

In addition to landslides, waterfalls in the Anai Valley area are also raging. The water overflowed onto the road.

Head of Preparedness and Logistics for the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of West Sumatra Province, Rumainur said officers from the police and a local joint team were carrying out the process of cleaning and evacuating landslide material from the road body. Road users are asked not to continue their journey or look for another way.
