Thai farmers climb dizzying heights before dropping durian fruits for colleague to catch
Footage shows how Thai farmers climb dizzying heights to harvest durian fruit - before dropping them to the ground for colleagues to catch.
The worker is seen in the video standing on a 100ft high branch while using a knife to cut off ripe fruit with a hard spiky shell at a plantation in Nakhon Si Thammarat province, Thailand, on February 9.
He tossed each durian down to the bottom of the tree for staff to catch in a hessian sack.
He said: ‘The trees are so tall. It is hard work to harvest even a single fruit.'
