These images show Russian soldiers abandoning their positions and fleeing for their lives after Ukrainian forces attacked them on the Zaporizhia front line and took out their armoured vehicles.

The footage begins by showing what appears to be a number of destroyed Russian military vehicles surrounded by craters after apparently being hit by Ukrainian ordnance.

The camera then pans left and shows dozens of Russian soldiers fleeing the battlefield as Ukrainian ordnance continues to hit their war machines.

The footage shows a company of at least two dozen Russian soldiers fleeing.

The images were obtained from the Office of Strategic Communications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Friday, June 9, along with a statement saying: 'A company of Russians abandoned their positions under the blows of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.'

Russia invaded Ukraine on 24th February 2022 in what the Kremlin is still calling a 'special military operation'.
