A hilarious dog tried and failed to enter a supermarket by casually walking in like a customer.

The brown pooch discovered that the doors leading to the frozen deli section of the store would automatically open if he stood out front in Chonburi province, Thailand, on May 15.

With this valuable information, the dog went on a mission to get inside, but his attempts were foiled at least four times, with workers guarding him.

Footage shows the dog being ushered out by employees after it had reached a few steps inside. The pooch lingered outside and tried to enter at least four times.

Onlooker Mai Thanyaran, who was waiting for her mum from across the street, said: ‘I was sitting in the car, and I noticed what was happening. The dog really wanted to go inside but he was not allowed.'

The kind workers asked him to leave, with one worker staying for a short while to play with him.

Mai added: ‘The dog kept returning to the entrance. Maybe it liked the refreshing aircon breeze.'
