Saiful (30), one of the traders along the coast of Padang, recounted that the strong wind struck at approximately 14.30 Wib, just as they were preparing to open their stalls for business.

"It was very strong", he said.

Not only that, about 6 cafes were also damaged until they collapsed, unable to withstand the strong winds, so that local residents and traders tried to repair the cafes and also traders who held the pillars of their stalls so that they would not be carried away by the wind.

Meanwhile, the merchandise table was also carried by the wind into the middle of the road, almost hitting a four-wheeled vehicle when passing through that road.

One of the traders said Saiful, (30). Said the strong wind occurred at around 14:30.Wib. where traders along the coast of Padang are getting ready to open stalls.

"The wind was very strong. Since this afternoon, many local residents' stalls have collapsed, and chicken carts have been overturned by the wind. Meanwhile, traders are trying to save their goods," he said.

While Heri, (40). He said his shop was carried away by strong winds from this afternoon. Currently trying to tie back the shop so it doesn't get carried away by the wind.

"Earlier my stall just opened, then the wind was not long, so the merchandise was brought back home, while other stalls were carried away by the wind, many stalls were damaged and collapsed," he explained.
