A helicopter was used to rescue six residents trapped on the roof of a flooded building in northern China.

Video filmed in the city of Zhuozhou in Hebei Province on August 2, shows Gongyang Rescue Team deploying a helicopter to save six individuals who had been stranded on a rooftop for 72 hours.

Upon receiving the emergency rescue order, the Gongyang team acted swiftly, deploying their most elite aerial rescue force. Arriving on the scene, they immediately began the tense rescue work.

Using the rescue helicopter, they precisely hovered over the trapped people's rooftop, and through a winch, one by one, rescued the six stranded individuals.

The Gongyang team, officially known as the Zhejiang Gongyang Public Welfare Rescue Promotion Association, was founded in May 2008. As a volunteer team under the Gongyang Association, they specialise in outdoor mountain emergency rescue, urban emergency response, national secondary disaster resistance and rescue, as well as the search and rescue of lost or mentally impaired elderly people in urban areas.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
