Eleven pet dogs die in fire at Bluerose Dog Park Kennels in Swindon, Staffordshire
Burnt out remains of kennels at the Bluerose Dog Park on The Holloway near Swindon and Dudley.
Eleven pet dogs died as a result of the fire in the South Staffordshire countryside on Saturday 26rth August.
A spokesperson for the company told the BBC that staff at the site were "completely devastated" as they "desperately tried to get" to the dogs during the fire.
Despite the animals not being locked in, it looked "like they were overcome by fumes" and could not get outside, they said.
