A brutal storm knocked down a motorcycle as it ripped through eastern Thailand.

The raging monsoon weather wreaked havoc in Chachoengsao province 93 miles away from the capital Bangkok, leaving a trail of destruction in the region on September 20.

CCTV footage shows a powerful squall blowing down a motorcycle as it battered a shop with locals taking shelter inside.

Local media reported that electric poles, signs, awnings, and roofs were also damaged in the area.

The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) had forecasted scattered thundershowers to hit eastern Thai provinces, including Chachoengsao, on Wednesday.

Thailand and neighbouring countries in Southeast Asia are in their annual monsoon rainy season which sees soaring temperatures followed by powerful rain storms in the afternoon leading to widespread flash floods.
