Heroic man rescues drowning boy from pond following his companion's frantic calls for help in China
A man rescued a drowning boy from a pond following his companion's frantic calls for help in southern China.
The CCTV footage was filmed in the city of Yingtan in Jiangxi Province on November 25.
A boy jumping around a pond accidentally fell into the water. His companion, realising the danger, immediately began shouting for help.
The boy, in a state of sheer terror, ran around frantically calling for assistance. However, his desperate cries initially failed to attract attention.
About 40 seconds later, as the submerged boy was perilously close to drowning, several adults finally noticed the commotion from a distance and rushed to the scene.
In a brave and swift response, one of the adults leapt into the water and heroically rescued the drowning boy.
Eyewitnesses recounted that the boy was barely clinging to life when he was pulled from the water.
Fortunately, after a period of rest and recovery, it was reported that the boy suffered no significant harm.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
