A furious man ripped apart a security gate as a woman companion got hit by a sudden rising barrier in southern China.

The CCTV footage was filmed in Dongguan City in Guangdong Province on December 3.

A woman, while entering the community through a vehicular lane, was unexpectedly struck by a rising security barrier. In the immediate aftermath, her male companion proceeded to dismantle the barrier that had just caused distress to his companion.

The woman, fortunately, suffered no severe injuries, sustaining only a minor bump on her head. The man involved in the incident later came forward to admit his rash actions.

The maintenance team accepted a compensation of 300 yuan (£33.5), reduced from the initially estimated 500 yuan (£56), acknowledging his apologetic demeanour and willingness to rectify the situation.
