Mountain landslide onto road blocks traffic in India
This is the dramatic moment a mountain collapses onto a road, blocking traffic on a national highway in India.
Footage shows a section of the mountain collapsing, causing a landslide and making the motorway impassable in Manali, Himachal Pradesh, on January 30.
Rocks and debris from the mountain fall onto stranded vehicles, emitting a huge cloud of dust and soil. Passengers and drivers quickly moved away from the affected area.
Some motorists steered their vehicles to safety, narrowly escaping the landslide.
There have been no reports of significant damage resulting from the hill's sudden collapse.
Local authorities promptly assessed the aftermath of the collapse, sending emergency response teams to the scene.
The temporary closure of the affected stretch of the highway caused a brief disruption, but after a few hours of efforts, debris was cleared, and traffic movement resumed.
