Man finds dead lizard in fried rice and omelette takeout
A man found a dead lizard in his fried rice and omelette takeout.
Footage shows the half-eaten dish where the black, stiff reptile was found in the middle looking like it was a garnish in Pathum Thani, Thailand.
Customer Phonmontri Ekapop said he returned the rice and omlette to the counter to demand a refund, before storming out to buy his lunch from somewhere else.
He said: 'I didn't feel like eating the rest of the food after finding the dead lizard. I don't know how it went there, but the kitchen should take more care.'
The small gecko is believed to have fallen into the frying pan and be cooked alive along with the omlette.
Geckos, known locally as 'jing jocks', are found throughout Thailand and often crawl into cupboards in search of food. They are harmless when alive but it's not know if they could cause an illness when eaten.
