This is the hilarious moment a massive monitor lizard chased a girl recording him.

The lizard was being driven away by a guard from a building in Pathum Thani province on February 1. But instead of leaving out the door, the huge reptile turned around and suddenly barreled toward onlooker Katay who had been filming him.

Footage shows the beast skittering toward the young woman who shrieked and ran away in terror.

Asian water monitor lizards normally live in canals, swamps, sewers and ponds in cities in Thailand. They feed on fish, snakes, frogs and scraps of food left by humans.

The reptiles are aggressive when threatened and have a mildly venomous bite which sometimes carries harmful bacteria. The Godzilla-like reptiles are also a protected species in the country so their population thrives.
