Russian firemen rescued a hedgehog from a wildfire in Crimea.

Footage shows officers Okopny Daniil and Vitaliy Bazhura from the 20th Fire and Rescue Unit picking up and checking on the injured animal from the scorched ground.

The spikes on its back were partially burned and taken to their facility for treatment while the other team members worked on dousing the blaze that engulfed 5,000 sqm of land in Feodosia.

A dozen trucks and 56 firemen went to the area to help control the fire.
