A mother and her two toddlers were floated to safety on a polystyrene board through typhoon floods in the Philippines.

Footage shows the mum sitting at the front of the little boys clinging to her back as the family was being ferried by rescuers across the deluge in Manila on July 25.

The homes were submerged during the onslaught of Typhoon Gaemi and the mother with kids were trapped.

The family was taken to an evacuation centre where they stayed until the weather condition was better.

Neighbour Ruffa Montejo said: ‘The rain did not stop and the water quickly rose.'

Typhoon Gaemi killed 22 in the Philippines after lashing through mainland Luzon for almost a week, intensifying monsoon rains. It headed to Taiwan killing three people and injuring more than 200 when it made landfall.
