A delivery rider crashed into a 6ft deep water-filled pothole before his motorcycle was fished out by a JCB,

The worker was carrying hot meals to residents when he skidded into the flooded hole in Haryana, India, on September 7.

Footage shows an excavator pulling the vehicle out of the pit. Officials said the sinkhole had been caused by recent rainy weather.

Meteorologists reported that the country has been experiencing intense rainfall, causing flash floods and landslides as the monsoon season continues.

A few months ago, another street cavity was spotted in the city due to poor infrastructure, which resulted in substandard roads and drainage systems.

Residents urge the government to take action to fix the roads and prevent similar incidents from happening.
