Hundreds of youngsters were violently stopped from entering the school building after arriving late for the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) exams in Bihar, India, on February 1.

Footage shows police attempting to shut the gate while persistent students pushed their way onto the premises.

Upon managing to break through, cops could be seen using wooden sticks to hit the pupils, while others run toward the school building.

The Bihar School Examination Board, a government agency, did not comment on the incident.

On the same day in Khagaria, police reportedly loaded a gun to scare late pupils who attempted to enter the school.
