Sailor found sitting on capsized boat in rough sea in Indonesia
A sailor stranded in the sea was found sitting on a capsized boat to survive rough seas in Indonesia.
The fisherman was perched on the overturned vessel, clinging to the hull as powerful waves crashed around him in Bali.
Footage shows the exhausted local being rocked by choppy tides as a ferry stopped nearby to help him.
One of the ferry passengers, Hilaluddin Prasetiyo, said the elderly trawler drifted in the sea for almost a day before they found him by chance on March 23.
Hilaluddin said: 'He looked so tired. We were relieved when he was rescued.'
The fisherman was taken aboard the ferry and given food before being assisted home.
This came three days after a ship ran aground in Bali Strait after being pushed by strong waves on March 20, when 77 passengers were rescued.
