US, Los Angeles: Vermont Slauson LAPD Opens Fire On Barricaded Suspect CAUGHT ON CAMERA Part 2
Los Angeles, United States - March 26, 2025 03/26/2025 09:30 pm (GMT-0700) VERMONT-SLAUSON, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Officers attempted to gain compliance from a suspect for an extended period. Eventually, the suspect stepped out onto an upstairs window, appearing armed with a rifle. Witnesses reported that he took a drink from a bottle before raising the rifle. At that point, an officer-involved shooting occurred, with officers firing three rounds at the suspect. The suspect then ran out of view and remained barricaded inside the residence. To locate the suspect, officers deployed a drone into the house, which discovered blood on the floor and the suspect hiding near a window while still moving. Officers continued to give commands for the suspect to exit the structure. Eventually, he exited the residence with a towel wrapped around his hand. Officers took the man into custody and began to render aid. While maintaining a visual on the situation, they noticed a second person inside the home. Upon entry, officers found and detained two individuals, although their involvement remains unclear. The primary suspect was handed over to paramedics standing by, then transported to an area hospital. The residence was declared secure, and the rifle was recovered. Figueroa Street was closed at Gage in both directions during the incident.
