Nawab Sheikh, 27, from Murshidabad, West Bengal, has made a bed that can be driven in an attempt to go viral.

The 27-year-old claimed that he sold his wife's jewellery to fund the project that took almost two years to make.

But the fame came with consequences. A traffic jam on the Raninagar-Domkal state highway prompted the local police to step in. Officers from Raninagar PS asked the 27-year-old to take his ‘bed-on-wheels’ off the main roads, citing traffic and safety concerns.

In a unique blend of creativity and ambition, 27-year-old Nawab Sheikh from Murshidabad rolled out his dream project on Eid — quite literally. The Domkal resident, who earns just Rs 9,000 a month driving a school van, spent over a year and more than Rs 2 lakh to build a fully functional “bed-car” designed solely to go viral on social media.

The bizarre vehicle runs on four wheels and comes equipped with steering, brakes, rearview mirrors — and the most unconventional driver’s seat imaginable: a full-sized bed, complete with mattress, pillows, and a colourful bedsheet.

A late entrant into the world of social media, Nawab sold off his wife Meher Naear’s jewellery to fund his passion project. “It took one and a half years to make this car,” he said. “I had only one mission — to become viral.” He sourced the mechanical parts from a workshop and hired a carpenter to build a 5×7 bed structure to fit on the frame.

The spectacle created a buzz as Nawab cruised down the road on Eid, lounging on the bed while driving. Crowds gathered, phones came out, and soon his video was all over the internet.
