Tropical storm strikes Thailand uprooting trees and triggering powerful gales
A tropical storm struck some parts of Thailand, uprooting trees and causing powerful gales.
Residents in Khon Kaen province were battered by heavy downpours and strong winds on April 19.
Footage captured by Suwatchara shows trees swaying violently and leaves swirling through the air as powerful gusts swept through the area.
The aftermath left leaves scattered across the yard, with trees heavily damaged and branches dangling from cable wires.
Authorities urged residents to stay indoors during the storm.
Thailand is often affected by tropical storms, particularly during the monsoon season from May to October. These storms typically form in the South China Sea or the Pacific Ocean and move westward, bringing heavy rain, strong winds, and flooding.
