NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — A group of 10 baby ducks is safely back with their mother thanks to a community rescue effort Thursday involving local children, residents, police, and public works staff.

The Northborough Police Department responded to a call from neighborhood children who saw the ducklings fall into a storm drain near Westbrook Road and Assabet Hill Circle. Officers and residents worked together until two Department of Public Works employees, Robo and Dave, were able to safely remove all the ducklings.

Police Chief Brian Griffin praised the collaborative effort, calling it a true example of community teamwork. The ducklings were successfully reunited with their mother shortly after the rescue.
