Florida Trainer Arrested for 110 Counts in Voyeurism Case
DELAND, Fla. — A 28-year-old personal trainer was arrested on more than 100 charges, including digital voyeurism and possession of child pornography, following an investigation into secret recordings of his roommate, according to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.
David Van Moorsel was taken into custody and charged with 40 counts of digital voyeurism, 40 counts of unlawful use of a two-way communications device, and 30 counts of possession of child pornography.
The investigation began after authorities received reports that Van Moorsel had secretly recorded a roommate. A deeper review of the digital content led investigators to uncover additional unlawful material, including the possession of child sexual abuse images.
Van Moorsel was arrested and booked into the Volusia County Branch Jail. The investigation remains active.
