A rockslide left motorists stranded on a blocked road amid heavy rain in the Philippines during Typhoon Co-may.

Footage shows boulders crashing down the hillside, completely obstructing Kennon Road in Tuba, Benguet, on Friday, July 25, around 8 am.

Residents living near the area were evacuated by authorities as a precaution.

The incident unfolded amid severe weather conditions brought by Typhoon Co-may, locally known as Emong, and the southwest monsoon.

The storm made landfall over Agno, Pangasinan, at 10:40 pm on Thursday, with maximum sustained winds of 120 km/h and gusts reaching 165 km/h. It is expected to make a second landfall over La Union or Ilocos Sur on Friday.

Co-may is the strongest typhoon to impact the region in the past 16 years.
