Fairfax High Band Gets Fire Hose Cooldown After Practice
FAIRFAX, Va. — The City of Fairfax Fire Department helped the Fairfax High School Band beat the summer heat with a refreshing fire hose cooldown this week.
The annual tradition brought smiles and cheers as firefighters sprayed water over the hardworking students following a long practice session. The band has been braving high temperatures during summer rehearsals, and the cooldown offered a welcome and fun break.
“Nothing beats the heat like a fire hose cooldown,” the department said in a social media post. “Huge thanks to the Fairfax HS Band for letting us keep the tradition alive. You all earned it after practicing so hard!”
